About Matt Corlett - Licensed Builder
When Matt finished at James Hargest High School in Invercargill, he was accepted into the Southern Institute of Technology construction pre-trade course. From there he was taken on by an Invercargill master builder and completed his apprenticeship working mainly on high-end new houses. This experience helped him develop good building practice skills, while working with different types of construction materials on a variety of projects. As he gained more experience he was given charge of jobs and was made responsible for their completion to the client’s satisfaction.
In his evenings Matt completed a National Certificate in Carpentry and was successful in meeting the requirements to become a New Zealand licensed building practitioner, one of youngest locally to do so. He continues to keep his skills up to date by attending industry training courses.

Wanting to use his skills to help others, Matt spent time in Malawi assisting the locals with their much needed community building projects. He has also spent voluntary time in Fiji and Vanuatu in villages where his building abilities have been appreciated.
Matt takes pride in his work and enjoys working with clients to deliver solutions which meet their needs.
